“A brilliant future with a future-looking business.”

In short, you can look forward to a brilliant future with a future-looking business. Which means we’re always looking for ways to become better. But our main focus has always been on our people – the people who’ll enable us to achieve all our ambitious goals.

That’s why we’ve developed what we believe are some of the most progressive graduate programmes around. Even if you haven’t decided exactly what you want to do yet, we feel really confident that you’ll be excited by the possibilities.

As for your degree qualification, it must be a 2:1 or above. We know your skills are transferable, so this can be in any discipline.

A confident communicator, you love solving problems and believe you’ve the potential to go far in a business where the only limit is your ambition.

“Belief can take you a long way.”

As we’re big believers in collaboration, you’ll need to be a natural team player too, with a fine appreciation of banter and a desire to learn from the exceptionally creative people around you.

Above all, you’ll believe you’ve got what it takes to kickstart your career with a world-class team of professionals in one of the UK’s most exciting businesses.

Applications for all of our Sky Graduate Schemes for 2010 are now CLOSED. We will be opening applications for our 2011 intake in September 2010.

Finance programme

cricket matchOur FTSE 40 media and technology business is right at the forefront of the fast-paced industry. And right at the heart of this business, you’ll find a highly regarded finance team.

It’s a team you’ve now got the chance to join on a three-year development programme that’ll expose you to the widest range of financial roles, as well as lots of exciting projects. The kind of things you just wouldn’t find in an everyday finance job.

It’s definitely not about bean counting. Or number crunching. It’s about working on finance for projects as exciting as new TV show commissions, or substantial technology ventures that will change the face of entertainment. About opportunities in areas such as Sky Sports, Sky Movies and Sky News.

“There are no limits to what you can achieve”

Ours is a massive business. So there’ll be no limits to what you can achieve. And we believe there’s no better place for you to start your accountancy career than here.

But you don’t have to take our word for it. We were recently presented with the ‘CIMA Employer of the Year Award’ for our graduate finance programme.

We’re also a business that’s built on change, so there’s never a dull moment. Which means that in your three years as an Assistant Financial Analyst, you’ll gain invaluable experience in a number of areas – from financial reporting to management accounting.

As our programme follows a fully-funded CIMA management accounting course, you’ll also end up as a fully qualified Management Accountant.

Discipline essential. But any discipline welcomed.

We’ll surround you with brilliant people you can learn a lot from. But you have to be pretty bright too.

So, you’ll need at least a 2:1 – in whatever discipline, it doesn’t have to be financial – as well as 300 UCAS points or equivalent.

And that’s just the start. The last group of graduates we took on totally wowed us. Amazing communicators with great attitudes. And flexible enough to adapt to the changes in our fast-moving business. The ultimate example of people who believe in better.

This scheme is now CLOSED and will re-open in September 2010.

Our customers can call us anytime day or night.

Technology programme

ballet dancersAt the core of our FTSE 30 media and technology business, you’ll find a talented team that drives our remarkable reputation for innovation – delivering amazing new products such as SkyHD, mobile TV, high-speed broadband, 3DTV and Sky Talk. We are Sky’s technology team.

We’re now looking for ambitious graduates to join us on a two-year rotational programme offering the opportunity to work on some of our most stimulating IT projects.

In short, it’s a graduate’s dream start.

Our Graduate Technology Programme has proved to be really successful in the past. In fact, some of our best people started out on it.

Now we’re looking for more exceptional people. Joining us in summer 2010, in either London or Scotland, you’ll have the chance to experience all stages of the technology lifecycle – giving you a broad understanding of each.

You’ll work on key technology projects in four of the most exciting areas in the whole of Sky – Business Analysis, Software Development, Test and technology Platforms.

After six weeks of intensive offsite training, it’ll be all about on-the-job experience – learning from some of the world’s most talented techies. You’ll love it.

Discipline essential. But any discipline welcomed.

Type of people we’re after?

You’ll need to be available from summer 2010 and you can come from any degree discipline – not just technology. You will need a 2:1 or above, though, and at least 300 UCAS points or equivalent.

“Learn from some of the world’s most talented techies.”

In a nutshell, you’ll need lots of energy and a real love for both technology and teamwork. Also, you’re not the type of person who sits around waiting to be told what to do. But you’re definitely someone who can interest and inspire others with your brilliant ideas.

Just think, you too could be working on technology with one of the most technologically advanced businesses around.

Please note applications for this scheme will close at midnight on 28th December 2009.
