  • Launched Europe’s first in-home 3D channel – Sky 3D – to residential customers, making history with the world’s first public broadcast of live, 3D TV sports.
  • Launched our Sky Ride events to encourage more people to cycle. In the first year, they reached 10 UK cities and over 200,000 people.

  • In partnership with WWF and Brazil’s State Government of Acre, we launched Sky Rainforest Rescue, to help save trees in the Amazon.

  • Launched Sky+HD – the UK’s first nationwide HD television service.
