At Sky Network Services office, the experts here make sure our programmes are beamed perfectly across the UK and Ireland.

2011

  • Acquired The Cloud, the UK’s leading public Wi-Fi network.

1993

  • Launched our first multi-channel package, which offered 14 basic subscription channels.

2013

  • Launched Sky Go Extra – allowing our customers to download and watch great Sky movies, sports and entertainment whenever and wherever they want.
  • Launched Sky Movies Disney. This was the first time Disney had ever co-branded with another channel.
  • Signed David Beckham and Jessica Ennis-Hill to our team of ambassadors.

2012

  • Team Sky and Bradley Wiggins were the first British winners of the Tour de France.
  • Launched our dedicated Formula One channel – Sky Sports F1™ HD.

2011

  • Launched Sky Go, meaning Sky TV customers can watch live TV on laptops, PCs, Macs, smartphones and tablets.
