Daisy tells us about her life as a strategy graduate.
"The scheme encourages hard work and you get plenty of responsibility from the start."
What are the opportunities and challenges of being on the Sky strategy graduate programme?
I’ve only been at Sky a month and already had the opportunity to go up to the Leeds offices, to Claridgesfor a UKTV Live event and to a workshop where we interviewed Sky customers. There’s lots of opportunities to get involved in multiple projects and my team are very keen in getting me exposure to a wide range of Sky’s business. The scheme encourages hard work and you get plenty of responsibility from the start.
Tell us about your current role
I am currently working in Partner Channels and Operations Strategy, the team which looks after the channels not owned by Sky, such as the BBC, Fox and MTV. Strategically we are looking at how we can get the best out of these partnerships.
What are your hobbies and interests? At university I was a competitive cheerleader so am currently getting as much use out of the onsite gym as possible before attempting try outs. I also figure skate so I’m taking advantage of living in a city that has multiple ice rinks!
How would you describe the culture and people at Sky in a few words?
Fast-paced, passionate, varied
What advice can you give to future applicants?Make sure you know what Sky offers, and not just the traditional pay TV products. Also don’t be afraid to be passionate
